The Species list.

mundanes,

• Here we have our mundanes, which are our average humans. Some are aware about the world of these creatures, others are not. Poor souls, being all stuck inbetween all the constant fighting and the mess though can cause some destruction to “their” world to occur. Most mundanes are selfish and heartless though, which tends to make most Downworlders and Shadowhunters snobby towards them.

shadowhunters,

• We have Nephilim, which are often referred to as Shadowhunters. They are humans with angel blood pulsing through their veins. The race of these people were created thousands of years ago when Angel Raziel shared his blood with the very first Shadowhunter, Jonathan. The race was meant to rid the world of demons and maintain peace between Downworlders. They have to obey the clave, which is their system of government and the people who make the rules, and the laws given to them in the Grey book. They use a stele to mark runes on their body. The runes are what make Shadowhunters stronger than regular humans. An example is the iratze rune which is a healing rune. The closer to the heart a rune is drawn, the more powerful it becomes. They can also use glamour to hide themselves from humans. If you draw a rune on a mundane, it means to kill them. Their homeland is Idris but most Nephilim live in Institutes all around the world which is where they’re stationed to fight off Demons.

• WARLOCKS: Warlocks are the last species of the Downworlders. They’re pretty easy to explain, right? They’re spell-casters. They can change their own shape if they were born from a shape-shifting demon and are immortal, meaning they live forever. They are the offspring of humans and demons. If you’re curious, an often name they’re called is ‘Lilith’s Children’. Several warlocks tend to have unnatural body parts. These include cat eyes, bat wings, goat feet, lizard tails, scaled hands, etc. Some are clever, some are not, depending on which warlock you happen to come across. Some are very wise though, due to the fact they have been around for a very long time indeed. 
  
  VAMPIRES: Vampires tend to look similar to humans, although they’re much more pale and abnormal. Their abilities are like huamns but multiplied. Their strengths increase the more they grow. They can sheath and unsheathe their fangs on command. They have the power of persuasion, being very clever with words and can convince mundanes practically anything. They’re pretty good at controlling their prey as well. Their weaknesses focus more around daylight and holy symbols. They can’t be harmed by garlic and they are capable of seeing themselves in the mirror. Vampires can make clans, the leaders often being well-known around New York. 
  
  WEREWOLVES: Lycanthropes, often called Children of the Moon or lycanthropes, are also part of the four Downworlder species as well. They’re similar to vampires due to the fact werewolves are humans that have received a disease from Demons that causes their transformation and abnormal abilities. In human form, werewolves are a lot more stronger and faster and have the ability to transform into the animal wolf at will. They follow the long hard tradition of being enemies with vampires, although some do manage to tolerate each other. After their first transformation, werewolves take some time to be able to resist the effect of the moon in different phases. Werewolves can be killed my silver and tend to try to stay away from it. Each pack is lead by a leader, and when that leader dies or if someone kills him/her, then the wolf gains control of the pack. 
  
  FAIR FOLK: The Fey (other wise known as the Fair Folk) are one of the four Downworld species. They are usually short in height, and vary in features. Unusual coloured/shaped skin, hair, eyes and teeth are common in this species. The fair folk live in hidey-holes in parks, up in trees, and underground. Many fairies are employed by the Seelie Court and live underground in the court. The fey cannot lie, but do engage in creative truth telling. As they are the offspring of Angels and Demons, they have the beauty of Angels and the darkness of demons. They enjoy tricking others and are very wise, due to their immortality. They can give you what you what most in the world that will come back and bite you and make you wonder why you wanted it in the first place.
  
   MERMAIDS: Mermaids are a lot like the fairfolk. They’re sly and clever and are very alluring. Their beauty can catch someone’s interest very easily and they can trick you quite simply as well. Mermaids can lie, unlike the fairfolk, so don’t be fooled by what they say to you. They’re usually honest and blunt, but at times, they can lie to get away with things or just get their way in general. Mermaids have various colors when it comes to their tails, which are made up of angelic scales that are noticed in water very easily. As soon as a mermaid leaves the water, it transforms into a human with legs. A mermaid can control the water element as well, but only to a limit. They’re nothing like Poseidon, but they can lift the water and what not. When mermaids touch the water, they often feel the need to change. They’re capable of controlling their changes and resisting it, but that’s only if they’re used to it. If they’re not, then they’ll change eventually if they don’t hurry up and dry their skin. That’s why most of them tend to avoid water. Most mermaids reside in Idris, in the beautiful clear lakes and ponds. The Clave has made this possible because there’s not a lot of oceans and lakes in the city, but the Clave treats them a lot without respect but manages to tolerate them often. The mermaids are good friends with the fairfolk, but they do often frown upon each other. Some mermaids reside in New York City, often going to things like old swimming pools or even just remaining in their bath-tub. Some mermaids still believe they’re mundanes, not quite discovering what they are.

WANTED: best friend ~~~

HI I’M CAROLYN AND BBY DECLAN NEEDS HIS BEST FRIEND. and his best friend can be either male or female. and how they know each other could come from two things: a) when declan was first turned, he kind of went on pissy murderous rampage and killed nearly e’rryone in his castle and turned a few of the servants and his best friend could be one of those servants, and that would make the best friend a vampire, or if you don’t want a vampire there’s b) which is they meant… who knows how long ago and the best friend could be anything ~. either way, the best friend would have to be persistent and stubborn to even get close to declan. but like. once they were ~close~, declan would come to the best friend with issues and vice versa and etc.

ANYWAYS. this is really open and we can do lots fun plotting once he’s taken. <333

WANTED: Werewolf character.

The Shadowhunter Kathryn Vaden (katvaden) has a twin brother who was turned into a werewolf. Some of the information about what happened to him and what he is up to now is included in Kat’s bio (which can be found on her page). But it would seriously mean a lot if somebody would be interested in taking his role. His name is Michael Vaden and his face can be completely up to whoever picks him up, so long as he could pass for Lyndsy Fonseca’s brother. Wanted: character for Hunter Trenton

I am not sure if it allowed to ask for a specific character.

Well, this is for my character Hunter(x), obviously.  I would like someone to play Kellen. He was the werewolf that Hunter stayed with for a little while and started developing feelings for before he suddenly disappeared.  I don`t really have a specific pb in mind( I was thinking either Steven Straight or Taylor Lautner but it doesnt matter to me.)
